I don't know where you live, but Hawaii has very restrictive quarantine procedures for importing dogs and cats to prevent rabies. All dogs must be in quarantine for 30 days after passing a rabies test, which may take some time to complete.

In short, you should not plan to bring pets along for your vacation, regardless of any resort policy..

I think you must mean 30 days after their last rabies vaccine? I don't believe there is an accurate way to test an animal for rabies while they are alive.

I am not sure, the official website i linked to stated your pet will be quarantine for 30 days after passing the rabies antibodies test.

To me, that means don't bring a pet to Hawaii unless you will be there for a long time.

Okay. that makes more sense. An antibody test is to check that they have been vaccinated. A rabies test is to test if the animal had rabies or not. I would agree, not worth the trouble to try and bring a pet unless you plan to move there or stay a long time.

If you are wondering why they are so Strict on pets, there is no rabies in Hawaii so they are very serious about it.

You should have received a prearrival email from MVC/Waiohai which you can use to send room assignment requests. The emails are sent from the prearrival team who handle room assignments (or at least pass those requests along) so you can send email to that address directly and they will respond.

The address I have for them is mvclihwi.prearrival@vacationclub.com but we didn't go in 2024 so it may be out of date (we own EOY and will be back in 2026).

Just call the resort and tell the receptionist you would like to speak to the room assignment coordinator.
I call about 2 weeks before every stay.

More Questions...My wife and I went on our first presentation in 10 or so years. We still lock off and deposit interval even though we are enrolled with points which we still are unfamilier with lol. They offered us 1500 points at 15.62$ per point. Total was approx 17,000$ with HOA 1200$. The numbers don't make sense to us. Does it make sense to the gurus out there?

You don’t have to be a guru to know that doesn’t make sense.
If you are happy with what you have why spend $17,000?
And of course if you want points you can buy them resale for half what that.
You would likely need more than 1500 points for a week so you would have to elect your week too and end up with less vacation days after spending all that money. If you can lock off and exchange that is great.
