Kauai Beach Club renovations

Saw this notice on MVC website today:

Please be advised that the Kauai Beach Club will be renovating our villas from August 17, 2018 through February of 2019. Renovations will be completed floor by floor and take place daily between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. during which there will be considerable construction-related noise. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause during your stay and thank you for your understanding.

Surely they must have known way earlier than just 2 months before such major renovation work?
Has it really only just been notified to owners?
