Hi everyone.

We just bought 157000 pt Wyndham Edisto Island, SC resale. This is our first timeshare. Our main purpose is to vacation in just a couple of places for the most part; Orlando (Disney) and South Carolina. How hard is it to trade into DVC through RCI? How hard is it to trade into other Wyndham resorts in the off seasons. We are an adult couple with no kids so we can basically travel whenever we want. We don't have to go Summer or Holidays. We just purchased it through an ebay sale from a broker so we are currently just starting the process. How long does it usually take to for it to be "ours"? I've read some information that says 2-3 months and others that say 21 days.

Thanks for all the help! I'm sure I'm going to have a million questions.

4-5 months until you have usable points in your name, then another 2 months for an RCI account.

Congrats at buying at one of our favorite Wyndhams!!!!

However, points are points are points so you can go anywhere with them and there are several Wyndham resorts in Orlando where off season you should be able to get into easily, even Bonnet Creek... Check when their Value times are.

No extra charges ( like with RCI $200+ and growing) to just book another Wyndham ( just one transaction fee per transaction time).

Myself, I would not try to get DVC thru Wyndham-RCI Portal as you have not only your Wyndham points to use but then the RCI exchange fee.

Bonnet Creek and Cypress Palms are fine with us.

Or use RCI Extra Vacations for great deals within a couple of months travel for non-Wyn properties. Then no exchange fee, just the rental fee listed plus tax.
