Just back from Ocean Pointe

Tubelaw,
Ocean front is pretty much as good as it gets. Just ask for a 5,6, or 7th floor.
Many of the palm trees have matured and if you are on a low floor, you won't see much of the ocean.

No 'Wow' factor

As to the interior of OP rooms. . .well the damage is done. The best thing to hope for is it doesn't happen to another property. I'm a designer of "spaces". To me they count for the overall experience. When we stayed at Oceana for the week prior to OP, the serenity of the design made for a relaxing experience both inside and out. Unfortunately, when we're at OP the inside is now serviceable. Not necessarily pleasant or visually comfortable.

I think the problem is renovation expenses and the HOA decides they don't need a designer because they only replace worn out items. In the case of BeachPlace there's a bad mismatch of old original outdated crap with new low quality soft goods and appliances...so the suites never really look 'new' to regular owners. They don't even change the pictures and often take items away (BPT is the only resort without a comfy chair in the master). There's no 'wow' factor to BPT interiors.

When I see how modern other Marriotts 'feel' the moment you walk into the suite, you don't get that feel at BPT...and it sounds like that's the same at OP.
