We returned last weekend from a week stay at Lakeshore Reserve. We had a Sun-Sun stay and needed a Sat-Sat stay and took everyones advice here to pay cash for the first night and leave a day early. I orginally was not able to book the studio using the MOD code but that opened up in the last month so I changed my reservation and used the code. Lakeshore Reserve offered to move our luggage to our 3 bedroom which was a huge benefit. We stayed in the 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom unit. One of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed...there were no restrictions with going to the JW lazy river or the Ritz Carlton Pool. Any questions, please feel free to ask...

Did you stay in townhouse style or flat 3BR?
I am going there for x-mas week and reserved deluxe 2BR/2BA.
Any shuttle services were offered to theme park or near by shopping center?

We stayed in the 3 bedroom townhouse. They mentioned the shuttle service to JW and Ritz but we did not inquire about shuttle services to the theme parks as we had a rental. It is very close to Seaworld...not too far from Universal and Disney. Don't forget to bring your own tube for the lazy river...not crazy about that aspect..we did like Canyon Villas lazy river because they supplied the tubes. You will love the resort.

I believe they sell them at the marketplace at the resort but we went to Target and bought some. At Canyon Villas in Arizona, they supplied the tubes.

We were at lakeshore in october. They sell the tubes at the marketplace (approx $15 for adult tubes) and they blow them up for you. For convenience many guests chose to buy there but obviously you could find them cheaper somewhere else. They had 2 different adult styles and one child size I think.

If you exit the resort back to Central Florida Pkwy and turn right you will go another mile or two and take a right on Orange Blossom. On the right is a Costco. They may sell tubes, vests, etc. It is also your best bet for shopping. If you go the opposite direction on Central Florida Pkwy and cross route 4, turn right on Turkey Lake and about three miles on the left is a Super Walmart.

I've sent my senior exec to severalMVCI resorts using II bonus weeks and he said Lakeshore Reserve was by far the best and he'd go back there in an instant...and be quite happy not even leaving the grounds. He's been to LR, Desert Springs 1, Newport Coast, Barony, Grand Ocean, Manor Club, Las Vegas and 2 others. He loved the lazy rivers but didn't mention that tubes were extra.

I have been to Newport, Barony Beach, Canyon Villas, Grand Vista, Manor Club. The Grounds and the unit themselves were the nicest that we have been. We went on a slow time of year and the weather was mid 70-s to low 80's which made the pools empty. I did like Canyon Villas were you had the tubes there, they were big and the lazy river had some speed to it. At Lakeshore Reserve, it was slow and having to go to the store and buy tubes was the only negative. The pools were very quiet, and we missed the games, music ect that you find at DVC and even Canyon Villas had more activity going on, but then again, it could be the time of the year.
