Because I'm on the West Coast, we don't have as much access to jetBlue flights as those of you in the eastern half of the country, but I just love the airline. This past weekend I flew SFO-FLL roundtrip for a business conference. Here are just a few things I instantly noticed when compared to the dreary experience I usually get on United and Delta:

  • Cheerful, genuinely helpful flight attendants. Maybe it was just the luck of the draw, but the service was noticeably, markedly better. Obviously, jetBlue works hard to hire the right people and train them properly--and it shows.
  • I know this isn't offered on all flights, but because it was a cross country non-stop schedule, there was an inflight snack bar included in the price of the ticket: free snacks and soft drinks. You just walk up, select an item or two and take them back to your seat. What was really heartening to see was that no one was hoarding the snacks or packing them in their carry-on luggage. I think we all realized what a nice perk it is and that abuse of the privilege could result in losing it unless it's respected.
  • The seat pitch is much better and the seats are more comfortable than the slate seats with 2" of legroom on the major carriers.
  • I just checked: the American Customer Satisfaction Index rankings for 2017 show jetBlue's customer satisfaction as the highest among all domestic airlines for the 4th year in a row. (Southwest was 2nd and Alaska was 3rd.)
What a nice experience. Now that Virgin America is no longer, I plan to use jetBlue a lot more in the future.

I like Jet Blue as well. We also don't fly them much. I used them from San Francisco to New York some years back and currently we use them from Albuquerque to New York. I love that it's a nonstop flight, not as much thrilled with the times of the flights though.

I've heard that JetBlue is good, but unfortunately the only direct flights from Denver are to either Boston or NYC-JFK. I might check them out if heading to the Caribbean since that requires a connection from Denver on any airline, but otherwise I will probably stick with Southwest as I have been very happy with them lately.

Thanks for sharing, we are flying Jet Blue for the first time to Florida and I hope that they are as good as their customers reviews.

I consider myself lucky to live close to JFK airport and able to fly JetBlue to all of my favorite destinations. I admit, I was very disappointed when they changed their policy and stopped the free checked bag. They also used to allow customers to receive unlimited fare reduction credits (now, fare reduction credit only allowed within 2 weeks of booking).

Nonetheless, their customer service remains superior and they are still my #1 favorite.

I agree - I always look at Jet Blue and use them when it makes sense. They offer a lot of non-stop routes from Boston which is nice.
I much prefer Providence airport than Boston though and their nonstop schedule is only to a couple places in Florida.

If they started to offer some of the Southwest perks.....I would make the switch over to them. Southwest is still my go-to
