This has been an easy wootoff to stay out of so far, because all of the wine purchases I put on hold during summer shipping season have arrived and I'm out of space to put more juice. So for at least the next several months I've moved into extreme picky mode.
Right now to get me to go in woot would have to come up with one of my autobuys. But since none of my autobuys showed up on the last woot-off, and they haven't been offered since the last woot-off, I think I'm safe.
Is it only me or does it seem that the woots are getting lame? Used to be good stuff- big flat screens and computers, refurb'ed for cheap and delivered for $5. Stuff that didn't sell out at one-item-per-day, discounted to clear. Occasional Bags o' Crap. Just try to get one of those lately. Now woot has cheap junque. Rubber armed woot monkeys for $1.99 and $5 to get it. Unless one is knowledgeable about wine and has (and trusts) a wine encyclopaedia at hand, you don't know whether to pull the trigger on the wine or not. The write-ups are not helpful. Or maybe I just have too much wine in my cellar anyway. Sheesh! This last woot-off is the second that I've not sprung for anything.
OK, I guess I'm off my soap box now. Nobody forces me to watch woot and if enough people do their clicking elsewhere maybe they'll get back to the good stuff.
No, Jim, you're right - they've been lame. I'm disappointed. Woot used to be fun and frivolous, and there was a chance of getting a killer deal. Then they got bought out by somebody (Amazon?) and the good deals ended. Too bad.

I really haven't noticed much change in that regard since Amazon took them over. Things had changed - at least on the main site - long before the Amazon deal. I haven't purchased anything from the main site for about two years.
I spend more time at wine.woot, and that area seems to be doing nicely. The main change there has been moving to five offers per week instead of three, and the main deal of only lasts over the weekend instead of being available all week.
But the quality of the offering hasn't suffered at all that I can tell - that's probably just a function of the glut of good quality wine that's out there right now.
Wyndham; Disney OKW & SSR; Marriott's Willow Ridge, Shadow Ridge and Grand Chateau; Val Chatelle; Hono Koa OF (3); SBR(LOTS), SDO a few); WKORV-OFC-4 and Westin Desert Willow.
I have never been able to get one of those BOC. I tried a few times, and there was just too much activity on the site, and I couldn't get one. I was so jealous of the red, white and blue sequined vests some Timeshare Forums members got once. How cool was that BOC!
Here's what was in the package that arrived from Woot today:
1 baseball cap and one backpack with the logo for the PGA McGladrey Team Championship
1 fitted case (skin) to fit an iPhone 3G or 3Gs
2 Philips foldable HDMA cable extenders
3 Gilmour pulsating sprinklers
4 copies of the 2010 "Fact or Crap: Music Edition" page-a-day calendar
So, about what you might expect. Weird stuff, certainly with a retail value of more than $3.00 (even if you count the calendars as worthless), but absolutely nothing that's of any use to me.
Congrats! Good stuff for re-gifting. I got one from another site with a 12v heated travel mug, luggage finder w/remote, mp3 holder armband, message recording fuzzy cow (grandurchin's getting that), 2 little plug-into media player/phone speakers, and some even more forgettable stuff than that. Mine was more than $3 though.
