We just went through a timeshare presentation at the Grand Luxxe-what a nightmare but that is for a different thread. They told us that Marriott now had only one ITP number because of an RCI lawsuit. They asked us if we had received a registered letter from Marriott with our new number. I said no. Because they wanted us to buy they kept saying that Marriott's trading power was much lower than theirs. I do not believe them and because of all the info about the Vida group on TUG we stood strong and said NO. Is there any truth about the ITP number?

Based on your list of resorts, none of them even exchange through RCI. I am also not sure what an ITP is, did they perhaps mean TPU?

That is what I thought and she was insistant that because of the RCI suit Marriott was now low trader. We exchanged into the Grand Luxxe through II with a RS lock off. I figured it was BS along with the nightmare presentation but I figured I would ask on TUG

Marriott might be a low trader in RCI, I don't know since I don't use RCI. But most Marriott exchanges go through II and I would expect only a small percentage hit II. These would only be at those few resorts that are affiliated with RCI.

TPU is a variable number and really isn't a set number that Marriott would provide someone. It is determined by RCI based on many factors and can be different from one day to the next.

I think the sales person was just blowing it out his.....:ignore:
