There was a previous post about mistakes on ebay ads and how it really bugs the timeshare purist because their friendly advice was met with rude rejection and banning from future purchases. This is an example where being right conflicts with self interest.

If a timeshare wholesaler on ebay makes enough mistakes they may be more careful in the future, (not!) We sometimes purposefully search for timeshare ads with mistakes and have gotten free timeshares, free closings and one time a timeshare that had $3,000 instant equity. After the auction, pay the purchase price and then complain when you get the contract about the "mistake". Examples are timeshares with the right name but wrong city, attractive studios that sleep four but were listed as 1 BR instead of studios, and our all time favorite are the many misspellings for Marriott. (Yes that two rr's and two tt's). Mistakes are costly for sellers, but a treasure hunt for buyers.

There are alot more errors that benefit the seller than they buyer on eBay.

That being said, I never looked at it on the flip side. I might just start bargain hunting for the "good" errors on eBay.
