Got a fabulous trade in flex time . . going to HHI in two weeks. My trade is still showing in "my history" in II as "Pending confirmation"

A friend who is meeting me enroute wants to book her flight now . . tonight . . . is this risky? Or is this just a formallity? This trade was made with an AC and my credit card was used and I recieved a reservation number in an e-mail but not a "confirmation" number.

I think it's standard operating procedure. I'd be shocked if it did not go through. This time tomorrow you'll be "in the know".

I find it odd that it would still indicate Pending Confirmation. Doesn't that usually appear when you do an instant exchange with a week that hasn't been verified by Marriott yet. With an AC I would think they should be able to provide instant confirmation.

You are going to have a great time. I absolutely love the ocean in winter. Go buy some good snacks at the Fresh Market, put on a sweatshirt and hang out on the deck.

I'm going to Monarch the week before Easter (no 3BR though).

Big Matt,

I too love the ocean in winter. We've been to HHI in January, February, March and May . . love all times for different reasons. I don't enjoy a crowded beach and in January . . there are no crowds :) I love to rent bikes for the week and just explore everywhere . . on the beach, though the trails and over the bridge. With the bridge being the only hill on the lsland, it's easy to ride . . unless you go too far on the beach and turn around to find you are riding back into a Strong, cold wind . . not so fun!

Where is the fresh market . . . that may be one place we missed?

I am especially excite because I invited a college friend and bridesmaid of 30+ years ago to join me and she said . . . woohoo . . yes! It's been a long while since we giggled and laughed and talked all night . . should be fun!

Fresh Market is on the way off the Island on the left right near Shelter Cove. It is a gourmet grocery somewhat like Whole Foods. They have a lot of good baked items, meats, deli, etc. Lots of prepared foods. It is a little more expensive than Harris Teeter or Publix, but worth it IMO.
