Here is the chart which I just downloaded from Vistana site.
As you can see, 57,100 options, doesn't get you very many days at prime times after you use up your bonus options. RESCIIND.

@DeniseM, could you please fix link up in the stickies. I saw a link for chart in the VSN info sticky (https://tugbbs.com/forums/threads/v...timeshare-owner-information-and-guides.73314/) , but got an error when trying to open it. Thx.
Thanks for this. For some reason , I cannot see the file attached. Do you mind attaching a screenshot or private messaging me with it?

I still have 2 days left. I plan to send in my mail tomorrow rescinding the offer. Thank you for the input. The salespeople really lie to get someone to sign in the deal.
99% of timeshare salesweasels give the rest a bad name!

Get that rescission letter in the mail (USPS Certified w/return receipt). Then come back to TUG for the free timeshare education. With that $20,000 you can pick up the first round.

You bought an entry package and Vistana will use this as un opportunity to sell you in the future what you ACTUALLY need because for most families 52,000 Options are not enough points. Once you have used up your bonus points you will feel points poor and want more, they understand very well their customers and this is why they offer these bonuses to begin with. Why do you think they did not offer you an additional cash rebate? Once it is all done and you have bought from them everything you need, your wallet will feel a lot lighter than it is today.

To put some raw numbers into view for you, I bought SVV-Bella last year. Deeded, Mandatory. this means you get (in my opinion) the most important perk of retail, VSN Access. You can star options (SO) trade to other resorts. Without sharing too much financial detail, I paid roughly 1000 + closing for a unit that netted me 97,500 SO every other year. Some may even say I overpaid for that value. 20k is far too much....

That said, with Abound coming out there are two schools of thought, resale purchases could be a lot more valuable (very unlikely) or resale purchases could be a less valuable (I think likely), third option is no change in value I guess. Point is, we know pretty much nothing about how Abound will affect resale. If you want to SO trade, Id recommend waiting to see some details in writing before making a purchase. If you're looking to spend your time at SVV, then there's really no harm in making the purchase I don't think.

The 103400 is actually additional points that they threw in to further convince us and they do expire by end of 2024. Does anyone have the links to what the star options can get you?

REGARDLESS

You bought something without proper research.

RESCIND

Then RESEARCH

If it is a still a Deal - it will still be there.

Anyone telling you this is a good deal with proper Research - think about their motivation and bias.

Be sure to send it certified mail so you have proof of it being sent/ postmarked in the recission period. Return receipt signature is not needed.

One last question… from experience, does Sheraton flex options convert 1 to 1 to Marriott points, in the event that one wants to book a Marriott hotel?

I haven't ever read of Sheraton excercising ROFR on their flex options - would be interested in your experience.
