Is the RCI portal from WM down ?

I've been trying to log on to RCI from the WM portal and keep getting the oops message for the last three days. Anyone else having this problem ?

The WorldMark online RCI link is broken more than it works. I will not be paying to renew my membership.

I have a regular RCI account that isn't linked to WM that works but I would need to renew through the RCI portal to use it. I think that's what I'm going to do if I can figure out how to cancel the RCI WM portal.

The Wyndham and WM computer systems are down from today until nominally next Tuesday. I was told they are doing a massive system overhaul and from what I understand this will be a good thing when they get it working. I own neither now,but am trying to track down a resale transfer that has been stuck for months for WM. It seems that their system has been a mess for a long time from what I understand.
 
I was able to take advantage of the two year free RCI promotion (link) but I'm getting the "Oops - something when wrong error message" when I try to access RCI via WorldMark's portal.
WorldMark is aware of the issue. The WM rep said several folks are impacted by this known issue. There is no ETA. :rolleyes:. They gave me a ticket #.

When I login into the RCI website directly, it only gives me access to Last Call and Extra Vacations. The exchange option is grayed out.

RCI started working for me. I searched for something for a friend needing to be near a hospital and found a getaway for them. I didn't realize there was a RCI guest fee but even with the guest fee the cost for such a nice unit at a resort beats the heck out of a motel.

Hey alwysonvac, were you able to get the 2 years free RCI promo, just as a WM credits owner, or do you also own an actual week? I can't see how to apply for the RCI promo as I am a WM credits owner, since it asks for a specific resort/week. Just wondering if there is some way for me to get this deal too.

Yes, I got 2 years free as a WorldMark credits owner. I just chose any WM resort since it isn't week specific.

I also provided my previous RCI Account Number with the promo. My previous WM RCI account expired January 2023.

Have any Worldmark owners successfully used this free 2 year RCI offer by setting it up thru RCI? (maybe tug member Alwysonvac?) I got the email approving the membership, waited 5 days, then got the EVS1 error when I tried to log in.. Emailed feedback@rci.com today and got an email back from RCI Customer care saying to call 1-800-338-777 and choose "Online Support" from the Main Menu.

Then when I call that number there is no Main Menu, and when I reach someone they say there is no RCI online support department but maybe they can help me. Then they say they cannot help me and that I have to call Worldmark. That's not what the email said though.

Alwysonvac: it seemed like you at least got your 2 year free RCI account setup to do non-exchange related activities. Did you have to go through Worldmark to set that up?

No, I did not have to go through WorldMark. They renewed my old RCI account that expired on January 2023 and I was able to use my old login and password.

On 8/2, I completed the online application for the 2 free years by providing my old RCI account number.
On 8/6, I received an email notification with my old RCI account number (see screen capture below).

I clicked on the Register link to create a new login under my husband's name but that login/password doesn't seem to work. The email states "Once your account has been created, watch for the automated e-mail with instructions to activate your new account online" but I never received an email. I tried my previous login id and password and I was able to log into RCI.com. My standalone RCI login has always worked even when my RCI membership expired but now my old account shows an RCI membership expiration date of September 2026.

My access to RCI via the WM portal eventually ended sometime after my RCI Membership expired last year.
I'm still not able to log into RCI via the WM portal (which is required to perform standard exchanges). My WorldMark ticket is still open.

I just signed onto our WM Account with no problems. I also went onto the RCI Portal with no problems. I used my Android Samsung Tablet and Chrome.

One more thing...I'm not sure if you can still setup a standalone RCI accounts after they added the WM RCI portal.
My standalone RCI account with WM existed before the RCI portal was added.
