Hi everyone, :hi:

We just won a SBP 2 bedroom platinum season. Its a little far for us to get to every year, so we will probably be visiting there EOY when we visit Orlando.

The years that we will not be using it, we will probably be depositing with II. We would mostly be looking to trade into either Hawaii, Arizona or California.

So, I'm just wondering what weeks I should try to get deposited so that it would allow me to trade into the Hawaii properties. It seems that SBP has pulled a lot of Hawaii sightings this year, is this the norm?

Thank you all in advance for your insight.
Susan

p.s. Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

SBP platinum trades well if you deposit a summer week. Because the platinum season is too long (weeks 9-43), many "red" weeks are only pink, not red. It is important to make your reservation a year in advance and then to insist that Starwood deposit your reserved week, rather than a stray week 9 or 10 which they think of as comparably platinum. If you can reserve one, weeks 25-33 will trade best.

I see substantial Starwood inventory in CA, AZ, and HI and Marriott inventory in CA and AZ with my 2bd SBP platinum.

Did you just buy the week for $1,001 (if so, you did great).

Yes, thank you. That was the one. It wasn't as good a deal as this one though:

Unfortunately, DH is not a wanted_weeks fan, he says he doesn't have the nerves. I think a deal is a deal. I'm so lucky that he's not mad at me for buying another! ;)

Thank you for the heads up Robert!

I was able to convince Starwood to deposit my reserved week 13 at Vistana Resort instead of just any random week today.
I was definitely able to "see" more than the week 50 that
was deposited for me earlier this year. Although, it was only a one bedroom, I was pleasantly surprised to see WKORV come up when I was searching.

Let's hope that there will be more HI sightings with SBP.:cheer:

A two bedroom SBP should see most Starwood deposits during the preference period. You should have no problem seeing Hawaii in Sept, Oct, April (after Easter) and May.
