Is II gold membership the upgrade??

I would love to be able to split my week which needs a gold membership;
But would I have to pay exchange fees on BOTH trades so $124 X 2 for what I would have paid for one week? Is hard to book split week resorts?
Just wondering if the gold upgrade is worth it?

There is an exchange fee for each time you exchange (2 times). Inventory is limited. The nice thing is you can see the inventory before upgrading so you can get an idea if it is worth it to you.

There are no retrades, you can't add eplus, and I am not sure if you get the 24 hr cancellation. So if you can't go for any reason you just lose it all.

As mentioned the inventory available for short stays is very limited. I am pretty sure you do not get the 24 hour cancellation. You also cannot upgrade in size, except for rarities like upping one size increment for Westgate in Orlando.

It only makes sense if you have something specific that you want and it is available through short stays. It also only fits if you need it for less than 7 nights. Make sure it is really there though. The programming has bugs where you will see units that are long gone. You have to attempt the exchange to see if it is really there.
