Is HGVC Legacy Elite Premier Status worth it? (? Being devalued or useless now with Max)

*Kingsland Access while staying at Bay Club or Kohala is also a nice perk for HGVC Elite Status! (not just EP but lower tiers also have access to it).
We loved our nice sized room/patio at Bay Club (cheaper HGVC points wise vs KL for similar sized rooms/balcony/patio) but loved access to KL pools (which are lovely & way better than Bay Club/KS pools, esp if one has kiddos). Also nice to be much quieter when resting/recharging/rejuvenating at Bay Club vs staying at KL, for our use case. I know many love staying at KL, so respect that. Also, the balcony/patio at KS seems much smaller than at KS, so happy with our choice of Bay Club... (Negative is NO official access to HWV pool complex (& no free parking there, although there is a shuttle which goes there + plenty to do at KL & BC/KS etc, so did not miss HWV pools etc. Can always take HGVC shuttle to go there & dine, do the Dolphin Quest etc)

Bay Club is closest to HWV. Is it walkable?

Yes, easily walkable. Exit BC down by building 1, cross the street and use the service entrance. There is a walking path along the golf course, passed Ocean Tower to Buddha Point.

Thanks we booked it for its proximity to HWV. Think we made a right decision. We will likely walk there for breakfast buffet if they have such option. Is it like 10 mins walk or more close to 20?

It's twenty if you go the scenic route passing Buddha Point along the coast but there is a quicker way. Walk down a little way from BC to the transport center entrance to HWV, puts you right in the center of the complex. I don't know where a breakfast buffet is though, I've heard the dining is limited there, but the pool bar and grille might have a buffet. KL is the only one I'm sure has a buffet at the pool bar and grille. The golf clubhouse has a nice restaurant also, easily walkable from BC.

Update on Elite experience regarding resort fees during RCI exchange stay

MarBrisa: we got our “parking” fees waived because we own at MarBrisa. Any MarBrisa owner get their $35 “parking” fees waived. Elite Status Doesn’t matter. However they do waive any activity fees for HGV Max and HGV Elite owners. They can add up. Not just EP.

Kohala Suites: as Elite Premier we had our resort fees waived. Two week stay added a nice bonus. Confirmed by billing, front desk and the manager.

The Boulevard: we haven’t stayed recently but all of our RCI exchange stays we have had our resort fees waived due to our Elite Status … not just EP.

What fees are there for Kohala Suites?

The only thing I can think of are the Hawaii transient fees and, if so, I didn't think they could waive those.

Cheers.
