Good question! I would think so...I take my touch every where and never ever have a problem with it's connection. I think it is set up to pick any free wi-fi in it's area. In theory I would think you wouldnt even need to attempt to connect it. Mine just works.

I will try it.I am just concerned on what wireless network I will connect with.

It will tell you the network name and if there's more than one, let you choose. You will have to enter the passcode for any secure networks. If you're in a TS, ask for the passcode.

We have no problem using our iPod Touch to connect while at timeshares. A lot of TS wifi networks (at least from our experience) require some type of authentication. They don't usually require a passcode, but when you first start up you will have to open Safari and it will direct you to a page where you have to accept some terms and conditions. Once you are done with that, you can surf away.

You can use any wifi device anywhere on the planet. If it's signal requires permission, you'll need it's signature passcode.

Usually when you check-in, the front desk will give you the pass code. If not just call the front desk once you are situated in your room and ask them.

Enjoy!

i am not sure if the OP is asking whether or not she can use WI-FI at the resorts or if she can view TV shows on the wifi at the resorts.
yes to WIFI. probably no to viewing tv shows on her touch since she is using(i think) the cablevision app to view shows at home.

I know you didn't ask, but since you're taking your Touch with you on vacation, do know that it doubles as a phone. Load Skype on your Touch and back home, and make calls to hearts content for FREE. You just need the Apple earbuds with inline mic. ;)

I believe the newest iPod Touch has a mic built in. We have the Ooma app for our iPod Touch, though it is an older touch and requires head phones with inline mic, but I remember reading that the newest Touch didn't require that for the app to work.
