I've been looking into all the choices for cases for the iPad 2. Does anyone have any suggestions for one they love. Thanks!

Verizon sold me a case that has a keyboard. The keyboard communicate with IPAD2 via bluetooth. It makes typing much easier. I am using said keyboard to write this reply.

If you want to keep the size small (to me, that is a major consideration), then the simple magnetic flip cover that Apple sells is a very good option. It only adds a few millimeters to the width, it protects the screen, and doubles as a stand to watch videos, etc.

I have had my iPad for 6 weeks now and have to disagree with the previous poster. I do not like the Apple cover at all. I bought the Apple cover at the time of purchase from the Apple store. I totally agree that the magnetic cover keeps the device small and light but it does nothing to protect the back from bumps and scratches and that is where your camera lens is. I also have found it to be very frustrating to juggle the 4 section cover while trying to take a picture. While out and about you don't always want to take a camera, iPad and phone along so taking pictures with the iPad does happen. The cover is very difficult to clean. General soil just doesn't want to clean up. I consider it to have been a poor purchase and just got a new cover yesterday. This new one is leather and it does add weight and bulk. My iPad investment is better protected. I ordered my cover from Ebags.com because of a discount and some credit with them but there are many covers online.

Thanks for your suggestions - very helpful. I've read good reviews about the Casecrown iPad 2 cover. I'm thinking about ordering it - any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

My wife originally got a case from Target (can't identify it online). It was rubber (rubber-like), which enclosed the entire unit (back and corners), and had a cover in front. It even had an opening for the iPad2 back camera. I thought it was perfect for her, as I thought the full protection would be good. But for some reason, she didn't like it, and ended up getting the Apple leather cover.

I think had the original one we got been more Apple-like:
- magnetic 'latch' for the cover
- auto enable of sleep mode
- fold up so it can act as a stand

I think it would have been perfect.

I bought the foldable magnetic cover in pink and it is hard to clean, Then I purchased a cover in staples that opens like a book, has 4 cornered elastic on the left side to secure the ipad then closes like a book and snaps shut, I keep it in there at home and in travel when not in use and remove it to use the ipad. I still keep the original cover on because it puts the ipad to sleep when it is closed.

I think it keeps the back from scratchinh and is very attractive. Can't tell it contains an ipad when closed.

We absolutely love the one we got from otterbox.com
