Seems to be running for 5 more days?
Might be a good time to do a far out exchange to take advantage of no Upgrade fee
I was able to go from a studio to 2BR a with no fee Using an unenrolled Marriott Studio.

This can also be a good deal as just a placeholder to later retrade. Though it works best with enrolled Marriott weeks with $0 exchange fees. It also works well with Eplus as you can later retrade into a unit the same size as what you originally traded into for no extra cost. If we had some studio and 1BR deposits, we would be doing this but we upgraded those all the last time they did the $0 upgrades.

Really is a great promo. Especially with studio units.

Thanks for posting this! I did this last time I saw the offer, and traded a studio for a 2 BR with no extra fee, and then purchased e-plus.
Then I re-traded for a 3BR in Williamsburg for this July for $59 more. Saved a lot!

Great opportunity. Thanks for sharing.

So if I deposit tomorrow (traveling today)do u think I can execute in time and add ePlus?

If I find a trade way out, can I E-Trade it for a week that is sooner than the orig. trade date?

Can I also downgrade size?

does it still get Vistana preference if ePlus trade?

Does 2025 or 2026 deposit pose any limitations?

TIA I am new to II trading. What would you do w

It may depend on what system you are deposirting, but usually you can deposit and exchange right away for something. If the deposit isn't confirmed by the developer, they just cancel everything.

You can certainly trade and add Eplus. You can then retrade for anything between the current date and one year after the checkin date of your initial exchnage. Depositing 2025 or 2026 doesn't make much of a difference other than initial deposit expiration, but as soon as you add Eplus, that kinda goes away in favor of the Eplus expiration which is one year past checkin.

I would deposit SDO small 1 bdrm. i am hoping to get Vistana or MVC
I think it takes Vistana a couple days to complete the deposit, so you should have time. Though I have no actual experience with it myself. You could also try doing an instant exchange on the II website but that can be messy if you own more than one SDO unit.

Am I the only one who cringes when they see this promo? As a family of 5, we need 2+ bedroom units and their availability seems to be fewer and farther between lately. Instead of encouraging folks to upgrade to a larger unit, I wish II would offer an incentive encouraging folks to deposit larger units. I know that won't happen because II gets double the fee when folks split their unit, but a girl can dream. And, I'm not judging those that take advantage of the upgrade. I get it. We all try to leverage our trades to get the best value.

I remember a time when there were no upgrade fees. I could trade a small 1 bedroom for a 2 bedroom easily. It wasn't that long ago. How nice to have this back for a short time, but I miss the old days.

So if I pick up a 2 year exchange and then ePlus 1 year out, does that mean with 3 ePLus exchanges 1 year out, I can get 5 max years?

Thanks. New to this and do not want to mess up. I only have one unit with 2 years (2025 2026) in the account (voluntary) that I want to instantly trade because I don't think I have time to deposit and then trade. I have a separate corp account with mandatory.

Will it potentially get mixed up if only one unit in the account but 2 years? I need to specify up front what year I am trading.

Lastly, how often do they run this promo? I am traveling now and it would be easier if home.

When you make a Vistana deposit, the deposit expiration will be December 31st two years after your use year. So if you deposit 2025, the deposit will expire on 12/31/2027. When you add Eplus, it gets an additional expiration date for the Eplus of one year after the checkin of the confirmed trade. So if you confirm a trade for 12/12/2025, then the Eplus expiration will be 12/12/2026. This will give you three additional no cost retrades for travel through 12/12/2026. If you exhaust all of those retrades, then you can do full fee retrades through the original deposit expiration of 12/31/2027.

When you make the deposit, you will need to indicate the use year that you want to deposit. In the II website there are different buttons for each year. I don't know for sure how it works when depositing through the II website, but I suspect there is a way to indicate the use year you want to deposit.

I think they've run this promotion a couple times previously within the last year.

Thank you for this explanation.

To confirm - EPlud is good for one year after the date but if you decide to do a retrade after the one year mark, you can exchange out to the original date? You just need to choose retrade not eplus?

When you exhaust the three Eplus retrades, the Start Eplus Retrade button goes away in favor of just a Start Retrade link. Using the new Start Retrade link will allow you to retrade through original deposit expiration. If the deposit is expired, then one would need to pay to extend in order to complete another retrade.

What if you still had eplus left but the one year of the original eplus is approaching?
Thx again for explaining

You need to retrade at least 14 days prior to the checkin date of your current Eplus exchange. Inside of 14 days it would be a regular full fee retrade.

I snatched a 3 bedroom unit, sleeps 12, at Marriott Grand Vista this morning for the last week in April using a hotel unit. Exchange fee = $239. What a bargain!
Btw, there were so many 2-3 bedroom units available at Grande Vista and a few other Marriotts from August - November, but we've been caught in 3 major storms there in the last 3 years. I'll stick to other times of the year.

I traded OP studio for Surfwatch 3BR week 52 and a 2BR same week for grandkids Christmas break - and two other placeholders. @KarenP I don’t recall it either but @dioxide45 does.

Here is a similar offer in September. I recall them doing it one time before. I will see if I can find that thread too;

I don't understand why I'm not seeing this offer. I have a MGV studio (unredeemed deposit) made in Aug 2024 (expires July 2027). When I search with it, the upgrade fee applies. The "Exchange Offer" does not show up on my "Deals" page, as seen in your post above.

Do you see the crossed off $59/99 with a zero below it?
When you are making the exchange the charge is there until you get to the payment page and then you check off free size upgrade.

No, I do not see it crossed off with a zero below it. I got all the way to the payment page. The charge was $198 for a unit size upgrade, and $89 for E Plus. Do you think it's because I have an II membership through Marriott as a Presidential owner? I do not pay anything to II.
