I need some help. I have been unable to rent my Marriott Ocean Watch. Check in is April 25th. Is February 24th (tomorrow) the last day to bank it with II so I don't lose the entire value of this week? I do not have an account with II right now. Do I call II or Marriott to do this?

I certainly would call Marriott and ask them....I had thought that it was not acceptable to rent out the units yourself?

I have rented many times. I am just wondering what date it has to be deposited by? Is it 60 days before check in date?

Someone will chime in with a definative answer but I think it is 61 days. I beleive the deposit has to be made a full 60 days before check-in and depositing on the 60th day before check-in will open you up to restrictions.

For next year, if you are thinking about renting a gold season week, I would think Easter week and that third week in August would be better to reserve than a May week. Easter week is becoming a more and more popular week for families in the Carolina's, in my oppinion.

If you deposit your week less than 60 days before your check in, you are restricted when you put in a request for II. You still have the 2 years, but you can only search 60 days in advance. So for example, lets say today you deposit your week and it's within 60 days of the check in date. Next month (March 15), when you search for an exchange (or put in a request) you can only get what's available from March 15 to May 15.

If you deposit your week more than 60 days before the check in date, there are no restrictions on how far in advance you can search/request. II is very helpful with explaining all the details too.
