I was checking the Interval Website and found that the Marriott Maui Lahaina and Napili Villas resort is rated with the Silver symbol which means it is a "Select Resort" (i.e. 4 star).

I thought all Marriott timeshare properties were rated with the Gold symbol which means a "Premier Resort" (i.e. 5 star).

Does anyone know why the Marriott Maui Lahaina & Napili Villas does not qualify for the top rating?

Other than the ongoing construction, are there other things going on there which prevent it from receiving that 5 star Premier status?

Gold Gold Laurel leaf is the highest rating - silver pineapple is the second highest.....

It's all fake. Marriott gets top rating even before the resort is open!

I just assumed that it didn't have one of the qualifications to be a Gold such as an on-site restaurant or valet (though i'm not sure those are qualifications).

There are many Marriott timeshares that don't have an onsite restaurant that are considered premier. I think this may just be an error in the rating? Would this rating keep the resort blocked in the quality filters for other Marriott owners?

Since my Christie Lodge timeshare is non-rated I can only see up to "silver" resorts when searching on II. Now I should be able to see the Maui Marriotts as soon as they get through the priority period.

The rating is an error I brought to the attention of Marriott. It should be Premier. They corrected my ownership list but apparently did not fix the Resort Directory. I'll give them another call.
