Well, today I got the long-awaited refund. It was 24 days but only 14 business days. I thank Interval and plan to write a kind and apologetic review for them on the BBB website. Hopefully my replacement getaway will go smoothly and I won’t need the insurance I bought. Good luck to you who dare to take your chances on the II Getaways… I hope my experience helps someone somewhere to choose wisely…And to check emails for cancellation notices… don’t worry it won’t happen again…

It’s different when you buy 10 getaways and the 10th one falls through. But when you buy two getaways, and the second one falls through, it’s a little bit of a shock especially, when you were planning to go and did not realize the resort could close and cancel on you, and you are the one holding bag. And all you got was an email months ago that you never noticed in all the piles of spam. I have enjoyed the funny lectures about getting insurance when the insurance wouldn’t have covered me anyway. I have promised, and will follow through not to book another getaway. The perception of risk is just too high for me now. However, I do take back anything negative I said about Interval since they did work with me this one time.
