On my basic account for 2 non enrolled weeks I have both our names show in interval so if we travel solo then we dont need guest cert. But on my corporate one, which is the one I use and have platinum etc only my name appears so means I will need to use a guest cert for booking my husband a trip next month. Both our names are on all deeds but I am the lead name. Do I take this up with Marriott or with Interval?

For me, it is the other way round!
on my basic account, which I had cancelled pre Covid but had to reactivate to exchange non enrolled weeks cancelled due to Covid restrictions, only my name appears
on my corporate one, which I always use and also have Platinum etc both our names show.
when I look at my account, it says the following, so I would have thought that if you were joint owners on your enrolled week(s) you could ask Interval to add your husband’s name?
“Your Contact Name can only be changed during your initial profile set-up. We will contact your home resort and verify that your name matches the name on your resort ownership file.”
Good luck.

For my corporate account, only my name appears on the II website but II does have both our names for the account as evidenced by both names appearing on confirmations. I'd check any confirmations to see if both are listed, if not, I'd contact MVC and ask them to update the account. BTW, I've been told that II will only list 2 names even if there are more listed on the deeds.

There is an account profile that has my name on it and a membership profile that has both our names on it. The account profile can’t be changed. This is the same for both my corporate and regular II account. Our II exchanges from both of our accounts have both our names on it. The regular account was set up in 1996 and the corporate in 2011. I have no recollection of doing this so this must have been done at the set up of my regular account and since my corporate account is the same logon, a carry over. I am the primary on both but that can be changed in the membership area. Never paid attention to this until this post because we have always checked in together.

You can create a 2nd corporate account for your spouse. Both of us on MVC deeds/trust and while I am the primary, I am able to create a 2nd login for my husband.

For your corporate account, I suspect MVC would need to have that fixed since they are the ones that had it set up.

I think the issue here isn't a separate login. You aren't really creating a separate account or membership but rather just a separate web profile for your spouse. I don't think the OP can do that since their spouses name doesn't even show up on their membership. At least that is what I took from the first post.

Our confirmations look like this. On the left is just the primary name of who made the reservation. My wife and I each have a web profile. The names on the right at the bottom show both of us as being able to checkin. That said, the name when looking it up on Marriott.com must match that of the one on the left or it won't come up. We reserve under the appropriate web profile based on whose Bonvoy number we want to attach. In the event we reserve it under the wrong web profile, I use one of our free guest certificates to change the name so I can look it up on Marriott.com and add the applicable Bonvoy number.

If I go through the process of booking a getway, on the basic I get the option of my name, his name or a guest cert. On the corporate one I get my name and a guest cert. It's never been an issue as we always travel together but in October he has a trip without me and I am not willing to use up a guest cert when he is an owner.

I've emailed owner services about it as also I have 2 weeks not listed in Interval as part of my portfolio, and chasing this for a long time. Will update how I get on.

Where do you see the option to select the name when going through the getaway booking flow? I have never seen such an option in all the getaways we have purchased.

Your getaway through your corporate account should list both you and your husband's name so you need to fix the root of the problem. I am the primary but every iI confirmation in the corporate account always lists both our names.

Update on this, they added my husband to the interval account - checking with Marriott first and now I can book a getaway in either of our names without a guest cert on both accounts!

@dioxide45 If you use the wrong profile and the wrong Bonvoy number gets attached, have you tried contacting Bonvoy or the resort in advance to get the Bonvoy number changed instead of using a guest cert?
I have to get the Bonvoy number attached manually every time, even though it is in the II profile, because the II account is in my other half's name and the Bonvoy account is in mine so they don't auto match. As both of us are on the confirmation, they add the Bonvoy number without issue. Not sure if they would change it but worth a go if you haven't already tried.

I’ve done 2 recent exchanges using our corporate account. The reservations are showing in my personal Bonvoy account rather than my husband’s which I think is because my name is always listed first on the II confirmation certificates.
For our other account, husband’s name is first so exchanges go into his account.

Weirdly, II have just sent my husband a “Welcome to II” membership pack with another account number for our corporate account. I’ve emailed them to try and find out what’s going on.

Now that your spouse is on the account you need to setup a web profile for him. Then you can book under his login to have the bookings in his name.

I use one of our free guest carts that comes with II platinum membership to switch the name then add the appropriate Bonvoy number on Marriott.com.
