We got our exchange for August into the Marriott Newport Coast, we're excited. Anyone have any suggestions for a good building. any other suggestions would be appreciated as well. Thanks
 
What did you trade with and how long had you waited for the trade to come through? Thanks for the info. Enjoy your stay.
 
I traded with a 2 bedroom, end of year Florida Palm Beach Ocean point that I purchased through Marriott's gift of time. I purchased it in October and deposited it with interval so I could trade it.

I was originally hoping to get a second Aruba Ocean in July for a friend but got impatient so changed to Newport Coast. I put in the latest change requesting Newport coast for the entire month of August. This request was made approximately 2 weeks ago. Keep in mind the original request to trade was made in early November but it was for Aruba. I think they still honored the original date even though I changed the resort. ;)
 
Yeah, Interval usually comes thru, just booked Aruba Surf Club for 4/15 with my 1 br a/c! Now if I can just get NCV in July for my 1 br plat GV, I'll really be happy.
 
Congratulations LoveAruba! You will love Newport!

My suggestions is to call the resort about 10 days before your check-in date & make a request for any possible view as high as possible. It will be difficult to get a view during one of the busiest months as they do give priority to owners, however, two new buildings are coming on line in June that will all have spectacular views so you might get lucky.

Building 24 3rd floor (I don't recall if there is a 4th floor) It's close to the pool.

Building 28 3rd or 4th floor although it's a hike to the pool.

Wow, great for an AC - right before Easter. I saw a 2br in the Marriott ARuba for checkin on Mar 4th - would love to go - but have our plans and air to FL. for that week. The only problem with such short exchanges is purchasing airfare at a reasonable costs. Would be great to pick one up last min. and then cancel a confirmed RCI exchange to the same area -which has less penalties
