Does anyone know if Marr. Grande Vista has internet available in the rooms? If not, do they charge for phone calls for dial up? We have a lap top with a wireless card and will be there at the end of Nov. Thanks. Debby

I am interested in the answer too. I know they have internet, and I think it is wireless, just not sure if it is free.

When I was there in mid-2005, it was free, but if I remember correctly, it was wired. Cable coming out of the corner of the kitchen, so we set up the laptop for the bar stools.

I don't see why they would change, but you never know. All the other Marriott locations also provide free internet, so I don't know why one would be different.

I think I read in a recent review that they are wireless now.

It's wireless in all the rooms.

I will say that the connectivity wasn't that great when I was there the last time.

Yes, Grande Vista is wireless.

I had the same experience as Big Matt on our first GV visit in 2005, but found the connectivity to be pretty solid when we were there earlier this year. Perhaps it depends upon location within the resort.

How about Cyprus Harbor and Sabal Palms

I am interested in Internet service at Cyprus Harbor and Sabal Palms where we will be staying in a few weeks.
While free in-room wireless would be fine, in my experience Marriott usually offers free use of internet connected computers as a customer service in case you need to contact your airline, print out a new schedule, check your email, etc. IMO, most people do not carry their laptops when traveling on holidays by air.

Grande Vista, indeed, has free wireless in all rooms. It is true that some of the remote locations have a hard time ... but GV offers a booster pack that will get you connected.
