I received a call yesterday for a friends and family package at Ko Olina. The package is 6 days/5 nights in a studio or $599 or in a 1BR for $799. Also, if you want to go during a peak time (Christmas or New Year's), there is an additional fee of $99. All things considered, I still felt a pretty good deal, especially for those interested in summer weeks.

Cheers,
CJ

Agreed -- that is a good price and competitive with the HGVC promotional offers. I'm sure that requires a timeshare presentation, but still worth it!

Best,

Greg

Given what they rent those rooms for, I agree that is a good price. It would be good to combine that type of stay with another week to make the airfare more worthwhile. We used to make these trips from CA for one week, but that just doesn't seem long enough with travel time. We have found that we want as much of paradise as we can get :)

That's a lovely offer. I was wondering, recently, if they still offered those packages. We've gone to Marriott's several times using them. Do they still include a rental car with them?
We would just add on a few days at a hotel to make it a whole week. Congratulations!:cheer:

I get offers like that from various places once in a while, and it really makes me appreciate how good of a deal I have with timeshares. I could do a 3 night stay (with a half day timeshare presentation) in a Studio or 1BR units, or for less money I can exchange into a 2BR for a full week and not have to listen to weasels.

The newest building will be 100% open for occupancy on June 2, 2012 (from what I was told).

That said, there may be plenty of available rooms for promotional purposes for the upcoming time periods....

$799 for a full one bedroom villa appears to be a great value....... go for it!

What number does one call, to take advantage of the Ko Olina friends and family offering?

I think they have to call you. A friend called once, to try to get the same package, and was told it's not open for requests. ??

I was able to add 2 nights in an ocean view 1 BR onto my upcoming Easter week for 25k points per night. Same points price as the Courtyard or Marriott in Waikiki. So there must be plenty of availability.

Thanks for the heads up. We need an extra night on Oahu, but thought Ko Olina is a category 6 and requires more points. I will call them and see if it is still available at that rate.

My bad! 60k points for 2 nights. Sorry!
