Inaugural KBV visit.

We're spending our first week at KBV as owners. Best $1 I ever spent.
The pluses:
Love the space. We're in a 3rd floor D unit, 2 Bd, 2 Ba. Looks like a refurbished one.
Glad there's air conditioning in the bedrooms.
Wifi works well. One of the best I've had in a vacation lodging.
Very comfortable
Location, Location, Location.
Nice staff.
The minuses:
Cockle-doodle doo, all night.
Loud air conditioning.
What's with the $43 charge?

We look forward to many visits.

That's the tat (transient accommodations tax)
BTW - have you checked out the exchange closet outside the office by the tennis courts?
Sometimes there are beach chairs; almost always old by still usable grass mats & boogie boards;

Just to add to what Jack said - everyone in rental accommodations has to pay the TAT to the State of HI, not just at KBV, and not just TS owners. You may not remember, but you paid it on your other Hawaii trips, too.

Leave the AC on low at night - the white noise will drown out the cock-a-doodle-doo. Which, by the way, is typical of all of Kauai.
