Since we are here anyway to get my Kidney Stone removed we decided to few a couple extra days.

We are at Wyndham Royal Gardens and we were just going to add a couple days but they don't have the days we need. So I was able to get a couple days at The Imperial Waikiki.

Here's our view from the Wyndham.

And here I am at the Wyndham's Zen Garden. I'll post the Imperial when we get there.

You look great!!! I love these pictures! They are beautiful! And I’m so glad you found a place to recover before you head back to your paradise on Moloka’i…what a blessing. Thanks for the update…you are in my prayers for a full recovery.

The anesthesiologist told me I may develop some muscle pain and ache from what he gave me. Boy, was that an understatement. It just started today as I left the hospital. It feels like a gang beat the stuffing out of me. My neck, arms, shoulders, stomach and Thighs are all extremely aching. Hopefully, it goes away as fast as it came on.

We are just going to order in some food tonight. Kim had some things here. We have a studio. We have a one bedroom at the Imperial.

It's pretty busy all over. All the Uber drivers Kim has used said it's been busy for a while so that's good to hear.

Hopefully tomorrow, I'll not be as sore and can walk around a bit. I just took a nap for about and hour and a half. That's about as long as I have slept continuously in about a week, since I have been hooked up to an IV for all that time. I was going to the bathroom every 45 minutes to an hour. So I hope to sleep better tonight. 🤙🏻

I am so sorry for the pain, and I do hope you can get a good night’s sleep. You have been through a lot with so little sleep. Praying tomorrow will be much better and you will be on your way to a full recovery.

And Kim, you are a good nurse!
She has been great. It's amazing what she can do after all she's been through. I told her not to come to the hospital yesterday since it would just be extremely boring for her. She would have been super cold too since my room was very cold the whole time.

So Kim was able to walk down to the International Marketplace. When we lived here, she used to love walking there and sitting in there just people watching. She had a great time and even brought back our breakfast for today from Liliha Bakery.🤙🏻

Wow, so Kim is taking care of you after you took care of her for all those years. That is what Love is All About! Kim was able to walk from the Royal Gardens to the International Marketplace? That is not such a short walk. She must be doing great with walking.

This is U of H move in week, probably adding the crowds.

Yes, she said she owes me. Lol

Yes, she did walk that far but she did take an Uber back. But she did it. 🤙🏻

Time to checkout of Wyndham Royal Gardens and head over to The Imperial Waikiki. Below are some pictures of our studio here at the Wyndham.

We won't be able to checkin for a while but we can leave our bags. I have to pickup a prescription at Longs and then we will have breakfast at the Dennys there.🤙🏻

Are you saying you were hooked up to IV in hospital for a week? Or did I misread that?

Wow, I can't believe the Imperial got us in right away at 10am. That made it really easy for us.

We're on the 17th floor with a nice little peak of the ocean. Kim is happy since the Imperial is one of her favorites.

We already had breakfast at Dennys. Kim is walking over to Longs to get my prescription. I wasn't up for the walk right now.

Here's some pictures of our Banyan unit here at the Imperial. They even remade our reservation to give us the Kamaaina discount. That saved us over $100 so that was nice.

Yep, I was in the hospital hooked up to an IV for a week. I had never stayed overnight in a hospital before this.

I just counted the walk was 8 blocks and I don't know where she went in the International Market Place but you can easily walk 3 or 4 more blocks in there. I guess for her to go the Longs from the Imperial is just around the corner now.

Yes, she didn't go to far in the International Marketplace but she got to enjoy people watching.

She's back already from Longs. There and back in about 20 minutes. She did good.

We're going up to the owners lounge for some music and drinks in a few minutes. 🤙🏻

The owners lounge is crowded for the music and Mai Tai's. Kim says the Mai Tai's are strong.

Glad the move was not long or arduous. Looks like the new digs are very nice. Hope you can be comfortable there and look forward to getting back home. Kim has REALLY been a lifesaver for you. I'm sure her payoff will be for you to be up and pain free and independent.

Fingers -and toes and eyes crossed for your rapid recovery!

Thanks for the update. . . .
Jim

Since you are going up to the owner's lounge at the Imperial I need to tell you a story about when we stayed there in 2011. We became friends with some Native Hawaiians and Aboriginees from Australia that were here to perform at the Honolulu Festival in March of every year. We invited them up for a party on the 26th Floor Lounge and I made 5 trays of Lasagna and salad for dinner. The aboriginees performed a dance in front of the resort before coming up to the 26th floor. We had a Kahu who blessed the building on the 26th Floor before the party. Well we were enjoying the dinner, wine and beer when the beer ran out. My husband went down to the ABC store to get more beer and they told him they were closed and going home since a Tsunami was coming. That was the big Tsunami from Japan. The aboriginees quickly left with a tray of Lasagna and we went with the Native Hawaiians up to their house 1200 feet above Honolulu with another tray of Lasagna. We were safe and the building was safe.

Awesome memory. Hard to believe that's fifteen years already.🤙🏻

We were both up for a short walk to the beach after breakfast this morning. Beautiful sunny day with lots of people enjoying the beach. I'm a little slow but making it alright. 🤙🏻

Yep, I was in the hospital hooked up to an IV for a week. I had never stayed overnight in a hospital before this.
I had a similar experience 10 years ago. I got sick on Christmas Day, with everything coming out at both ends. I was throwing up every half hour. Long story short, a couple days later the doctor sent me to the hospital. I’d had a couple of outpatient procedures but had never spent a night in a hospital bed. I was there for four or five days and after a colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and many others, they still couldn't find out what was wrong with me. Finally, I was watching the evening news one day and they had a report of a bbq restaurant that had to close because there was salmonella poisoning. I had eaten at that restaurant on Christmas Eve and they were finally able to determine that I had salmonella poisoning. I had to stay another week before I was strong enough to leave the hospital. So, I was there14 days total.

A little side-note, Alabama was playing in the College Football Playoff Championship game on the day I got to go home from the hospital. I got home a couple of hours before the game. Alabama did win but I wasn't able to stay awake for all of it.

Jeff, I hope your pain subsides and you're able to enjoy, as much as you can, a day or two there. It looks beautiful.
