Now that I've joined SVN, what is the best way for me to get an exchange to Las Vegas? I know there aren't any resorts in SVN, so how do i go about going through II? How hard would it be to get a week for May 2009 if i put in a request now?

Thanks in advance!

I just did a quick II search using an SVR week, and see availability in Las Vegas in May. I was there two weeks ago, and used a SVR week to stay at Marriott's Grand Chateau. It was a good time, and I liked the resort.

if you don't want to stay an entire week than you can use starpoints to stay at the westin or maybe the W will be open by then.

I also stayed at the Planet Hollywood (Sheraton) one night to extend my stay. I liked it as well, and was upgraded to a suite with a pretty good view based on my platinum status.

FYI Planet Hollywood has all kinds of specials running all the time. It's probably one of the worst % conversions for using your StarPoints compared to just paying for a room...
