Waaay back when I was a good spell from seniorhood, I took me mum and one of her girlfriends both of whom were well over the minimum required discount age to the country club for Sunday brunch. When the check arrived, it showed all of us as seniors. I took the discount and didn't look back.
The local 'farm' store where I get birdseed, dog food, yard chemicals, bedding plants, BBQ pellets, Western duds and miscellanea gives 10% on everything in the store on Tuesdays. The place is wall-to-wall gray headed dudes and dudettes. Couldn't be more if they offered free Ensure shakes instead of popcorn.
www.vacationstogo.com offers some great discounts on cruises to 'seasoned' citizens. And veterans, and first responders, and airline employees past and current. It 'pays' to check all the appropriate boxes for the discounts.
Jim
Ron, businesses offer discounts to attract customers. Not to reward anyone at the expense of another. Seniors have shown that they will do business with firms they perceive to value their business. That simple.
