II vs RCI: which is better?

I am considering buying a HGVC resale, but curious how RCI stacks up to II? I've experienced II with a property in Puerto Vallarta (Paradise Village) and had a good experience.

Would appreciate any comments or reflections..

That is a hot topic here. I'd suggest going to www.intervalworld.com and www.rci.com and research the resorts and locations to see which one meets your needs. I have both and prefer them for different reason. With the product you are trading you will get good trades in rci.

I like rci because it has a wider range of resorts, better customer service in my personal experience and its easier with RCI (maybe because I have had RCI longer). It seems that II doesn't encourage room sized upgrades when you conduct ongoing searches and you can only search about 1 year ahead of schedule. RCI will let you upgrade a 1 bd to a 2/3/4 bedroom if its available, and lets you search out about 2 years in advance. RCI also has last chance listings for $199 and Extra VAcations for booking up to 1 year in advance...II has Getaways for up to 1yr in advance that seem to be more expensive than RCIs Last Chance, and some II's Getaways...
