Yay! Thanks Jerseygirl! That looks very promising. The sighting was through early May, and later May is still before school starts, so any day now, I would bet. :whoopie:

The Westin Ka'anapali sighting today was very exciting to see this morning.

Oh, do I need help! I have an addiction to timeshare, and especially to sightings. I have a great time searching every day. I love to search RCI and II, but lately, II has had the bankings!

Last night, I had a dream that I met both Denises and their families at Westin Ka'anapali, then that resort was there today on II. By the way, Denise M., you aren't shorter with blond hair. In my dream, you are very tall with dark, long hair.

Did you guys see the Frenchman's Cove this morning for St. Thomas? Hurricane season or not, WOW! I never see those, but this morning was terrific for sightings.

I would love to meet up at the Westin Ka'anapali :) ! I'm going to need to save some money for airfare though :( . I am afraid to look at prices and haven't booked my 2009 home resort week yet. I'm hoping to get an exchange into WKORV or WPORV and book back to back weeks, if possible. I would *love* to take another trip there in 2008, but it looks like by the time I have a trader, all the weeks will be snatched up!

I was able to make an exchange to WKORV-N with a resale SVR week for the end of September. I'd say that's a pretty good trade for something that I bought on ebay for $1.

Since this is the first II trade I've made into a *wood property, I have a question. Since it was booked through an II exchange, does the resort recognize my elite status when I check in?

Nope, but it won't hurt to try! FWIW, I traded to WKORV in May using a WKR week via II and received almost exactly the unit listed on the II reservation (across the hall, but same 6th floor ocean view unit). It was significantly better than the others I've had when simply using SOs.

Pat, I am so excited! And to see the Westin Ka'anapali this morning. Wow! I am going to love that SBP. Thanks to everyone for advising me on that purchase. Time to pay it forward. :)

WOW!

Ken, way to go! A 3 bedroom ski week at one of the nicest resorts in the Rockies is an exceptional trade.

Just thought I'd update this thread to say I traded my other 1-bed from this WMH deposit for a 2-bed WKORV week for Sept 09. I had planned on going there anyway that week (in only a 1-bed) and was going to use SOs, so this works out great. FWIW, there were 2-bed units on both sides available, but after my last wonderful 6th floor OV II trade to WKORV I thought I'd stay with the older property again (and King bed in Studio, vs Queen) and hope for the best.

I'm really really tempted to pick up another WMH week on the off-year to complement my existing EOY week there. These trades have been outstanding for me over the last few years...

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a SVR week on deposit with II? If so, could you check if it sees these WKORV weeks today (during the Starwood preference period)? I'm still waiting for II to get back to me on my new account so I can deposit my SVR, or else I'd have used one of those weeks for this trade (if possible). It would be great to confirm if they see these weeks as well. TIA!
