Hi, just wondering if anyone has had any recent experience with exchanging into any resort in the French Riviera during the summer.

I want to book something in the June time frame (not 2012, obviously) but wonder if it's even worth the international fees and suspense. Do you have to have a star performer to land a week?

Thanks!

If your ongoing search is going to be a wyndham/II generic deposit, Iwould expect other ongoing requests to be filled ahead of yours due to trade power.

French Rivera would be in high demand in the summer, especially July and August from people in Europe. You might have a better chance beginning to middle of June if you are not tied to a school calendar. Later in June might get a little harder but not as bad on July/August.

What are you looking for and maybe someone can tell you what your chances are?

I traded in to the French Riviera in summer a few years ago through DAE. You might also want to try them. That was working with Donita Cilch who sourced the week through a trading partner. Donita is no longer at DAE, but is back on her own in the exchange business as Donita's Vacations Unlimited, so I would try there, too.

As to II, there is an II equivalent of Bootleg on another timeshare board, an II employee who is on the site unofficially but gives straight answers on the exchange situation at II. He/she says that outside a few areas, II has much more demand than supply at decent times in much of Europe and exchanges are very hard to get. If you go to that site, you could ask him/her specifically about the Riviera.

This summer lots of getaways in II

II has Getaways for the Le Club Mougins in Mougins for pretty much every week this summer at very reasonable rates. Not a guarantee that they will have them for next year, of course.
