I've never deposited a week into Interval and am trying to figure out what happens if you deposit a week within 59 days or within 30 days. Does anyone know what the restrictions are if you deposit a week within 59 days of check in and also within 30 days of check in? Thanks.

Here is that info. from the FAQ at the top of the board-

What is Flexchange & Flex Deposit?
A.
• Flexchange is for those members who want to request a vacation exchange on short notice — from 59 days to 24 hours before check-in. You can check Flexchange availabilities at IntervalWorld.com or by calling II.

• Additionally, you can make a Flex Deposit if you need to deposit your week 59 to 14 days prior to the check-in date (no deposits are accepted less than 14 days before your week). You then can only use the Flexchange service to make an exchange.

If you are depositing your Starwood week, many owners believe that this rule doesn't apply to Starwood.

Thanks, Denise. I'm not looking at depositing a Starwood week but a week at an independent TS. An II rep told me if you deposit within 30 days of check in that you can only see weeks within 30 days, not 59 days of check in. I thought that you could always see virtually all of II's inventory within 59 days regardless of when you deposit but she said this was not the case. Also she said you can deposit up to 7 days of check in (vs. 14 days). Think this is the case or did I get someone who doesn't really know?

Last year I had to make a last minute deposit 18 days before check-in, and it is good for any Flexchange trade.

Oh- you can't deposit less than 14 days before travel.

That is in II's Buyer Guide:
http://www.intervalworld.com/pdf/iw/buyers-guide.pdf

on p. 4:

Deposit First Exchange Method
.......................................
3. Deposits must be received by II at least 60 days, but no more than
12 months, before the commencement date of the deposited week.
Flex Deposits (received by II from 59 days up until 14 days before the
commencement date of the week being deposited) also are accepted,
but any exchange request placed using a Flex Deposit must be made
through the Flexchange exchange service.

So it's clear that all you get is a flexchange deposit, does that have to be used within the 59 day window or do you hve additional time to use the flexchage deposit

It may only be used within 59 days of check-in.

Do I only have 59 Days to use it or how far out (Check-In minus 59 days) is the deposit good for ?

The expiration of the deposit is two years from the actual check-in day of the deposit. In other words, if you have given II an October 24th deposit, you will have two years from the October date to use it.

It is when you actually want to use it that you will have to request availability no more than 59 days in advance.

The one I have now is actually good for two years from the check-out day of the deposit, not the check-in day.

Thanks -

That would be 7 more days

I am looking at a fleaBay that has a 2009 week reserved (like the PCC could get it closed and recoreded in time for me to deposit it 46 days to check in from the close of Auction) :hysterical:

Using WM Currency (TS Monoploy Money) The Flexchange would be valued at 4000 Credits ~ 6 cents $ 240 + $ 139 (domestic) $ 379

Paying the 2009 Maintenance Fee for a week I do not want, and depositing it would cost $ 663 + 139 or $ 772 roughly double what I could get a flexchange week for ?????

I think I'll pass and see what terms the PCC relists the week at

With WM, the deposit is never a week you book yourself. If you do a deposit, you select the unit size and season you want WM to deposit into II for you, and are charged credits according to the trade schedule.

Size...........Red.......Yellow(White).....Green(Blue)
Studio........8000......6000..................4000
1BR............9000......7000..................5000
2BR............10000.....8000..................6000
3BR............12000.....9000..................7000
Flexchange/Instant Exchange
..................4000......4000..................4000

Since the late deposit gives you a flexchange ( a week that can only be redeemmed with 59 days of checkin) to use within two years of the check out date of the late deposit I used 4000 which is what a flexchange would cost me plus the exchange fee

II rule says deposition cannot be accepted 1yr before check in date.

The resort I own can book two yr in advance and the reservation lady told me that I can deposit to II right after my reservation so I will have 4 yrs exchange window. Is this correct?
