For me, this feature of Platinum membership has always been a bit hum-drum and never noticed much inventory.

But, for the last two weeks I have noticed a bit of a change.
Last week - there was alot of inventory for starts around 8/13
This week - there is a lot of investory for starts around 8/20

It must have something to do with flex.

I haven't dug deep yet, but I wonder if this could be a sign of what exchange only options may float to getaways too during flex.

I think it has long been knows that inventory n exchange does move over to getaways at some point in time. There is no way all the Orlando getaways are from developer deposits. It is possible that inventory is sitting in getaways at the same time it is in exchange. In the past, when I would notice Priority View the weeks tended to be rather expensive (at least more than I would pay) for the getaway. I am noticing some cheaper options under Priority View and perhaps they are putting them into Priority View when they first make them available as getaways.

From the II Disclosure Guide:
The Getaway Program is a special exchange service offered by II from time to time in which resort accommodations are confirmed to Members upon payment of a fee, plus any applicable tax. The resort accommodations available through the Getaway Program include resort accommodations that have been deposited or relinquished by Members, but are not otherwise utilized by II, and resort accommodations made available to II directly by resort developers or other third parties. The fee charged to Members by II is based primarily upon the unit size confirmed, the location of the accommodations, the occupancy date, and the length of stay. To participate in the Getaway Program, Members are not required to relinquish their Home Resort accommodations. Interval Platinum Members are afforded “priority” Getaway viewing, which allows Interval Platinum Members to view and reserve selected, newly added Getaway resort accommodations in advance of other Members, provided, however, that priority Getaway viewing does not apply to any resort accommodations 59 days or less before their initial date of occupancy. Resort accommodations will be available to all Members in good standing at that time. In certain circumstances, Members may not be confirmed through the Getaway Program into their Home Resort or into Member Resorts that are, directly or indirectly, under common ownership or control with the Home Resort, or due to the Home Resort’s internal rules, regulations, or procedures. II reserves the right to limit the number of Getaway Confirmations issued to a particular Member in any particular year, and to limit the number of units confirmed to a Member for any given Member Resort or for any given travel dates.

Yesterdays inventory for priority view was 8/20. Today's is 8/21. Some decent stuff out there for decent pricing. Frenchmans, Aruba Ocean and Wild Oak.
Looking at the 3 mentioned above:
Wild Oak can be exchange too.
Frenchmans and Aruba Ocean though, I am not seeing as exchange.

I'm laughing as I don't know why I find this increase in platinum inventory so interesting. I think I'm trying to figuere out if there is a way to take advantage of knowing the particular date....

Looks like it is stuff at 60 days. It would be interesting to see what is there in getaways today for a resort and then compare to the same resort tomorrow.

@mdurette - (Sorry if my questions is annoying but I am really kinda new to II)

What’s platinum priority getaways?
Are these different getways from what i see when I login? If so anyone with a platinum account able to see them or is it specific resort?
Do I need to do anything extra to see them?

These are getaways that are available for a period of time only for Platinum II members to purchase. If Platinum members don't buy them after X number of days, then they open up to everyone. Think of it like the Marriott or Vistana priority in II. You just need to be an II Platinum member to see them.

Yes, when you log into II you will see different tabs. Click on the "getaway" tab and you can search for these. To see what they look like, I would advise you today to put in a start date of 8/21 and they should pop up. For reference, if you go to the sightings forum and look for Hyatt Wild Oak - I posted one there a few hours ago.

I have found in II that making a master list of codes, separated by comma's in a word doc works well for searching. Spend some time in the directory and make this list for all resorts you may like to visit at some point and then use that for searching.

I know what I saw today, but they were very desirable, so may not last the night. But, I will take a peek in the morning.

I saw some Harborside Resort at Atlantis the other day, but they now look to be out or Priority View.

Yep, can be great deals and alot of times a much better value than exchanging. But, be mindful they are non refundable.
