II guest certificate

My son just got married and his father and I gave them a week in Aruba. Question about the guest certificate, upon filling it out on the website will the certificate be sent to the resort as well as a copy to my son or just to the resort?

Usually the resort has a copy…We email the guest certificate to the name on the certificate to have,just in case the resort didn’t get the guest certificate

Interval will also send the owner a paper copy of the Guest-Certificate indicating the Guest-Name.

Although you can have the guest cert. emailed directly to your son, I typically like to have it sent to me - - that way I am a bit more in control and also, can double check that the unit I selected is the right one.

Another consideration - - most Marriott locations require that "The Certificate recipient must be over the age of 21." Hopefully this won't be an issue for you or your son.

You can go to II exchange history on the website and manually send the guest certificate from there to any email address at any time.

My own experience is that it takes an hour or less. Typically 5-10 minutes (they're getting better). But by having it sent to ME rather than the guest, I can know when it arrived and if there is a delay, I can re-request. Then I forward the confirm to my guest.
