II Getaway For Friends

We've got some friends going to Orlando and since getaways are plentiful during that time, I'd be happy to help them, but also don't want any issues.

I remember reading years ago that the preferred way to book a getaway for friends is to have them use their card -- this way you don't fall afoul of the rules against renting an exchange / getaway. Of course, I can't seem to find that post now.

Is that the preferred approach?
 
That is the best approach. Just get their credit card information and use that when you make the reservation. Add the guest certificate at the time you book the getaway. I've done it this way several times without issue.
 
I've booked 4 Getaways for friends using guest certificates at time of booking but paid with my own CC and there was no issue. I do agree that @dioxide45 's approach is best of you don't want to come across any issues.
