But upgrade revenue is equal or greater than Eplus revenue. So I am not really sure what the purpose of this type of promotion is. Perhaps they see a lot of exchanges into placeholders that people later cancel even though they have Eplus? Not really sure.I'm trying to work out what II is trying to achieve with this incentive as its drawing in smaller unit sizes and consuming larger unit sizes and focussing on weeks and not points members. They did have revenue issues in 2024, so possibly they found that this brought in exchange and e-plus revenue that they were after so have done it again.
Yes, doesn’t go past 12/31/25It looks like this is only for exchanges through the end of the year?
You don't see this tile when you are logged in on the getaway page? It's not showing up for me
What about if you actually try and search for exchanges?I don't see it either.
So if I trade my 1 bedroom for a 2 bedroom, I can then retrade into another 2 bedroom, without an upgrade or new exchange fee? So I should trade for anything as late a date from now to preserve the free upgrade? This is always a good deal. We'll be using it to upgrade all our new deposits so when we retrade later we won't have to pay any upgrade fees.
I guess one could use this by purchasing E-Plus, trading for something before the end of the year, then retrading to what you want next year, but then you're burning one of your eplus retrades to avoid the upgrade fee. Seems of marginal value. So if I trade my 1 bedroom for a 2 bedroom, I can then retrade into another 2 bedroom, without an upgrade or new exchange fee? Never mind, I see now the free upgrade is not for exchanges in 2026. My deposit is good until end of 2027 and I’m waiting for an ongoing search for Sept 2026. Bummer I can’t use this
Should be already worth it when upgrade from a studio -> 4-bed. Worth at least two upgrade fees if later retrades into a 2-bed. Now that FlexExchange is shortened to 30 days, the free upgrade within 30 days is harder to count on.I guess one could use this by purchasing E-Plus, trading for something before the end of the year, then retrading to what you want next year, but then you're burning one of your eplus retrades to avoid the upgrade fee.
