II Free unit size upgrade is back - 7 days

I just took advantage of it and exchanged a Grande Vista studio for a 2 bedroom at Harbour Point Shelter Cove August of 2026.

Last offer was around January 21st

I'm trying to work out what II is trying to achieve with this incentive as its drawing in smaller unit sizes and consuming larger unit sizes and focussing on weeks and not points members. They did have revenue issues in 2024, so possibly they found that this brought in exchange and e-plus revenue that they were after so have done it again.

But upgrade revenue is equal or greater than Eplus revenue. So I am not really sure what the purpose of this type of promotion is. Perhaps they see a lot of exchanges into placeholders that people later cancel even though they have Eplus? Not really sure.
