II Exchange Dilemma

I own a 2 bedroom lock out at Marriott Maui Ocean Club. I usually exercise the lock out so we can stay for 2 weeks. This year my wife and I decided that we'd like to try Marriott's Ko Olina resort on Oahu. So, I made the reservation for two weeks in Maui, went to II and told them I'd like to do an request first for 2 consecutive weeks at Ko Olina. About a month after I put in the request (May), I received confirmation for a week in Ko Olina utilizing the lock out portion in April and I continue to wait for the 1 bedroom portion.
Now I'm starting to get nervous because I have a week in Oahu in April and a week in Maui in May. I spoke with II and they said I just have to wait.
I really don't understand what the problem is since I'm a Marriott owner with another high demand Hawaii property.
Any suggestions on how I could proceed? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Options

You have some options although each has its downside.

Rent from redweek and then rent out your Maui week to cover cost.
Book a hotel as a back up then stick it out and wait. There have been some last minute Ko Olina units showing up in flexchange.
Try and find a tug owner to do a direct exchange.

Hope it works out for you.
