II Deposited Week as Part of Timeshare Sale
I recently purchased a Marriott timeshare in a private sale which included 2008 usage as an II deposited week. The timeshare closing company had the seller sign a "Interval International Transfer Authorization" which included the Deposit No. and the Seller's II Member No. When I called II to see how to link this deposit up to my II account, they first told me the deposit is non-transferrable, then said that best way to accomplish what I want is to ask the seller to be added to her account as an authorized user and to create a Guest Certificate for $39 when ready to exchange. I do not like this idea.
Is this the standard for II? Should I call II back and talk to a different person? The guy I spoke with had to ask someone else.
Any other insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
