II - Cancelling an exchange - only one replacement week allowed?

Wow: Can't believe it, but appears I will be losing a deposit, but before I take my losses I thought I would check what II rep told me. Can only cancel and get a replacement week once. True?

In 2020 I went through my original deposit and eplus options. Took a replacement week and had something booked for August, but had to cancel at the last minute. So, now left with eplus exchange on the replacement week, but since flex I need to use by 12/16 and that isn't going to happen. Already have other exchanges filling that time period.

I do not think you can get a replacement week for a replacement week again.

Maybe offer it here for your cost. Is it a Marriott deposit.

Hello all - confirmed with Mark this is correct. Bummer. First hit I have had to take on a TS deposit. Between MF for the week, two exchange fees and two eplus fees this one adds up!

Would you actually be interested in using the week you are about to lose (not sure where you are booked into), and then adding e-plus to one of the other December exchanges to push any of those out to a future date? It can be a lot to juggle, but if you have an e-plus left on the one that is about to expire, you may be able to still do something that fits with your travel plans.

Either that, or you could gift a generous Christmas present to a loved one and get a guest certificate?

I feel for you as it has been quite hard to book and rebook so many vacations and try not to have them disappear on you. I am hitting Flexchange hard at 5 am -- see you there!

That was my understanding from years ago. I just never knew of anyone running into this before. I also thought you couldn't retrade a replacement week, but that was long before the days of Eplus and online retrades.

Do you only have one ePlus retrade left to use? Was the original eplus expiration 12/16/2021? You should be able to EPlus retrade out through 59 days beyond the checkin date. When were you supposed to checkin?

8/9/21 used 1st eplus to same resort, bigger unit for 8/20/21 checkin
8/17/21 cancelled trip used 2nd eplus latest I could get of 10/18/21 checkin
3rd eplus needs to be done by 17th for latest checkin of 12/18

i already have other exchanges for thanksgiving and week 52. DD no other school time off.

I offered to family, no takers.
