Hello! While I own (and will be using in June) a Grand Mayan TS, we were looking at heading out of San Diego by car in early April. There are four of us, 2 adults and 2 boys, 6 and 3. I've grown to hate hotel rooms, and would like to rent a timeshare somewhere...

I was thinking of something like the Westin Mission Hills (been there and enjoyed it), but am sure there's something I'm missing that might be great... Arizona? Sedona? I'd prefer not to drive all the way to vegas.

Anyone with any resort ideas for me? We'd like a nice pool area, some dining and shopping, and something with nice views.

Thanks!

I'd say you already have it, Sedona, lots of nice timeshares there with generally good availability. Lot's to see and do, lot's of good day trips.

Tuscon may be good for you too, though I've never been there, but others who have say it's nice with lots of nearby hiking and such. We're going in April. I've been to Sedona--it's really nice too and there may be more timeshares in that area.

I think I'm with artlover on this one. Tucson is a pretty straight shot. The climate is mild. You could explore the Kartchner Caverns, go to the Bioshpere, visit Tombstone, ride some horses. Everything except go boating and there's pplenty of that in SD! What about Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco)?

I agree with Puerto Penasco, but you probably don't want to drive that far. How about Palm Springs? Or just south from you Rosarita Beach or just a little farther south. Sedona would be good. Flagstaff is nice also. You are so lucky you have so many grand locations that are so near to you.
I read they are building a new Fairfield in your home town and also one in Oceanside will open soon.
