I Won Big in Las Vegas by Sitting Through a Timeshare Presentation

Sat through a few, best was one in Hawaii. Stayed right on Waikiki Beach for a week at a huge discount. Got a gift card for about 100 bucks too. Got kicked out early from the presentation. He was a real nice guy but when he asked why I would say no to the offer, I showed him a post on this exchange giving away what he was selling, and told him that's why. He just said well I still have to show you the property. Walked over to it, talked a minute, and said ok that's it, have a nice day.

One of our board members at Val Chatelle in Frisco stayed at VV@P about four years ago, and he said it was a dump, worst he has ever stayed. I told him he must be confused because it's actually a very nice resort.
I wonder what building he was in? I know years ago they were remodeling the original buildings (1-6) because they were the old and tired, and not just the furnishings. When I booked many units in Bldg.11 a couple of years ago for a family vacation (that turned out to be our oldest son's engagement announcement & party all week) we were impressed with the place, even though at that time 11 was an older building. Our DS's future in-laws who only stay in Marriott's and Hilton hotels but had never stayed in a timeshare were very impressed. They almost said yes to attending a sales presentation but our DS told them they needed to talk to us first and we convinced them it wasnt worth their time. They have since had me book 3 Extra Vacations or Last Calls for them and cant believe the prices for the quality and all the extra space compared to a hotel room!

One of these years we will book a stay in a timeshare west of the Mississippi, and maybe even as far as California!
