Is this still available? How can I find out what kind of trading power this might have in II or RCI?

Ebay is your best bet

I would spend the time to make an ebay ad that expressed all the good points of the timeshare - including where it has been traded for etc and offer it starting at 1.00 with free closing. But I would not offer any money on your side of the table to see the deal get done. I would also put a buy it now for $99. One never knows. I am tempted, I just have way too many timeshares to bite but keep at it. Funtime

Still Available

cjguitar30,

Yes it is still available.
I have not traded it with II. I have traded it many times with RCI. It is a lock-off so I split it into 2 deposits with RCI. That gives me 2 weeks with RCI. I have traded it for many good resorts (even some Gold Crown) in the shoulder season. It will not give you something like Christmas week in HI, but lots of good weeks. The year old deposit I have with RCI pulls about 65,000 weeks right now.

Thanks,
Joe

Change - will Pay Buyer $600

I am uping my offer to $600. I will pay all closing costs, which comes to about $300 and give the buyer $300 for a total of $600.

Thanks,
Joe

Sorry

I just found out recently that the resort will take the week back. I am canceling my offer.

I knew you could trade it in on another week, they will give you the full price that the original owner bought it from the resort, but when talking to them I found that they will send you a new deed to sign it over to them. There is no cost or catch. They send you the paperwork, you sign and send back and you no longer own it. I am thinking about trading it in but they have a min purchase on an upgraded week of $7,200. That is a good deal from a resort but a lot more than I want to pay.

I have a week at the Courtyard in Hyannis that I want to get rid of and maybe I will make the same offer on that. I'll start a new thread if I decide to do that.

Thanks,
Joe

Wow Joe, your original offer was very generous, especially after you paid the 2010 MF's! I guess it just goes to show how tough this current economy really is.

I'm glad the resort was able to take your week off you hands. Now you can keep that $600 and by a bonus week on RCI!
