I can't imagine what it'd have that's not on TUG but does anyone else read it / find it worth the money?

There are always lots of copies of every issue dropped off at our timeshare so I read them for free. There are some informative articles and reviews of timeshares in each issue. We are at our condo up the road from our timeshare now and last week I biked over to pick up the winter edition copies. I already had the fall ones from a visit last Nov.

It's a great magazine for reviews and lots of advice articles. We have been subscribers for years, but there was a time when I let my subscription expire.

I think I get more real-time information from TUG, and I don't think TT would be very receptive of an article written by me that talks about trading power (what I am interested in) and my current battle with Wyndham. I think if I wrote an article about Wyndham, it would be put aside and not considered for publishing.

Lots of ads in TT for companies I would be skeptical of, including ARDA ads. A lot of the companies' advertisements have ARDA listed as though it's helpful to owners. I disagree on that. ARDA is not looking out for me, but they are looking out for the developers.

I subscribed for one year upon being elected to the BOD at Kauai Beach Villas. Online access was included and I downloaded several years of back issues. It was worth the one year subscription for my purposes. I did not renew.
My opinion: TUG reviews are far better. The other value of the magazine is perspectives on timeshare governance / management issues

I used to subscribe to it, but dropped it years ago. I found that TUG is a much better resource. OP is already a TUG member, but for those who aren’t I would recommend subscribing to TUG.

I subscribed to it back in 1991 or 1992. I learned a lot and bought a timeshare in Cocoa Beach from an ad and got a free week at a place in the Berkshires. We used both for exchanges for quite a while, but sold them on eBay for $100 each just to get out of them. I think my last subscription to TT expired a few years ago and I did not renew.

Perhaps I am wrong, but is it perhaps geared more toward owners of independant resorts rather than hotel branded timeshares?

I subscribed for several years, and even had several articles published, which netted me free extensions. Eventually I did let my subscription lapse.

It's for all timeshares, but independent resorts keep copies in the clubhouse and in the units. You won't see Marriott/ Sheraton/ Hyatt/ Hilton or Wyndham doing that.

We have copies in the units at Val Chatelle on the coffee table. Twin Rivers has copies in the owner area. The Rushes has copies in the clubhouse. I see them in a lot of independent resorts.

Joan Dungey writes a lot of articles in the magazine. And as I said in the thread on Dave M, he was also writing articles for TT.

They used to have classifed ads in the magazine. No more.

We subscribed for a couple-three years, but I dropped the subscription because I found TUG more helpful. I felt that TT was more geared toward timeshare BOD members.
