I signed a contract for HGV owner club 10 hours ago and now regret it. What should i do?

I resended a contract - just do exactly what the information on the paperwork. I did it, they contacted me about wanting to back out and I told them that I believed that I was overextended after taking time to sit down and really thing about it. I would not give any details nor have any conversation about how to stay in. If you have doubts later you can always rebuy - but get out now with any doubts!!!!!

Are you all set on what you need to do or already sent in your contract cancellation letter? No worries because HGV will honor this letter.
I have already sent my letter and some documents from the contract package by Fedex express. I have been notified that they received my documents.
I also emailed them with the same documents. Hopefully everything goes well!

How long did it take them to contact you? And did you get your closing cost refund right away?

I mailed and emailed everything yesterday. They have already received my letter and related documents.

It can take up to 30 days, per their documentation. But it is typically less. Maybe a couple of weeks.

Cheers.

@Yim8896 I see you sent via FEDEX. Double check your contract. Usually HGV requires US Post. If so, then send same docs via US Post and get a proof of mailing with the date. You don't want this to fail on a contract technicality.

This is what it says on the contract,

“The notice of cancellation may be delivered personally to the developer, sent by certified mail, return receipt requested, or sent by express, priority or recognized overnight delivery service, with proof of service, to the business address of the developer.

I believe Fedex falls under the “sent by express” i have a receipt of the service and also their signature when they received the package

They are not required to contact you, only to process your rescission request in a timely fashion. They have up to 45 days to do so, so keep an eye on your credit card activity since they will likely be refunding you on the credit card by which you paid.

And BTW, you probably would not want them to be contacting you. Watch our for unfamiliar calls coming your way. It might be people from the sales department there trying to convince you to reverse your decision to rescind.

added it, this was the cancellation that took us over 24 million!

this rescission spawned the idea for our new video series, the refund zone!

hope everyone enjoys episode 1 (based on this post!)
