Has anyone use Interval International Companion Airfare Certificate and the Airport Lounge Membership? What are your opinion of the two (2) programs? Thanks in advance for your help.

In my limited research of both, they have limited value. The airport lounge just provides access to lounges. You can sign up for free, but there is still a fee for each visit to a lounge. $27 per person. So a non benefit to me.

The companion certificate is much the same. I think it works on a zone setup, like the kind you get in junk mail. When you price them out you will find you can do just as well, if not better, just going out and buying two tickets directly from the airline.

Friend recently tried to use the airline certifucate. NYC area to Nashville.
Cost of two tickets was $20-40 total less then booking direct from airline but not at preferred/better times.

Lounge access does not always result in a charge of $27. It apparently varies at different locations.

That may be true, but I don't want to take the chance on having to pay $56 or not. I don't think you can know before hand if a location will charge the fee or not. Though do you pay the fee when you try to access the lounge, or are you billed later through the club? In either case, I don't really consider the airline club much of a benefit. I signed up for II Platinum for the getaway discount and mainly for the free guest certificates.
