As far as I know, TUG Lifetime membership is achieved with 10 member referrals. So refer 10 other people who sign up and you are in. Not sure of other qualifications and not aware of a way to pay your way in.

Would this be 10 paid members or 10 guests. Seems to require paid membership. Not trying to split hairs just curious.

Guests are only a function of the forums, not the TUG member site. So yes, it would have to be 10 paid TUG memberships to the members site. TUG2.net not TUGBBS.com.

Not only do they need to be paid memberships, they need to name you by screen name as the referrer at the time of joining. There is no way to check how many members you’ve accumulated. So it’s all kind of a shot in the dark until you’ve accumulated enough to earn it.
