Hi there,

So I've stayed there years ago and loved it. I'm thinking about taking my family there for Week 1 of 2027 ... the first week after New Year. 1/2 to 1/9. So I'm looking into purchasing a floating week resale for either every year or every other year (odd). If I want to buy the timeshare (rather than just rent a week), does everyone know how long it takes to close and get my account "loaded" before I can make a reservation? If I can agree on a price to buy a timeshare, does it make sense for me to ask the seller to book the 1/2 to 1/9 week as soon as he or she can ... which I assume is 1/2/26? Do you know for floating, every other week, do I pay 1/2 dues every year or full dues on the usage years?

Thank you for any information and help on this! (It might be easier to rent a week, but it doesn't seem that much more to buy a resale for every other year.)

We’ve bought multiple weeks here resale and it took on average 60 days upon acceptance to close. Then another 5-6 weeks for Hyatt to complete the transfer on their end. So @ 3.5 months for us from start to finish.

Yes, have the seller reserve as part of your agreement the week you want.

Thank you! This is very helpful!

Thank you. This is good to know. Do you know if the seller should put it in my name? If the seller puts it in the seller's name, does it transfer to me as new owner? Thanks for any info!

When the seller reserves the unit, the reservation will transfer with the account. So when Hyatt eventually updates its records with you as the new owner, the reservation would show in your account. This was my experience when I transferred a Hyatt TS to a Buyer, my reservations became his reservations.
