Hyatt Hacienda Del Mar

I was there in February and ordered from Katrina twice. I enjoyed their seafood paella.

are there grills at Hacienda del Mar?

not finding info on this. thanks

Yes. They have two sets. One is not working but the staff said the second set it working. Haven't tested it yet, I don't think I will during this trip.

I just returned from Puerto Rico. I highly recommend the free grocery delivery from Supermax. It seems you have to put in your order about 12 hours in advance. We arrived late Saturday night (got to the resort past midnight) and wanted groceries delivered in the morning but the earliest option was 1pm. This was not a big deal. If you download the app, you will get an alert when the delivery van is nearby and you can see it's location on the map. The van pulls up right to the lobby and there were plenty of grocery carts available on the left. This saved us time and round trip Uber fares (we did not rent a car).

I recommend ordering from or eating at Katrina. We have been ordering from them the last 2 years but this year we noticed the food improved. We ordered the seafood paella and it was a larger portion and much better. We also enjoyed their mofongo.

I also noticed that the activity center is opened later, until 10pm. Everything was great. Already decided to come back next year during the same week.
Great tips, thank you! Did you use Uber to get to/from the airport and to other local spots? Did you find them easy to get? When we stayed in Rio Grande, finding Ubers was quite a challenge.

Yes, I relied on Uber and there were no issues. Lyft is also an option now but there aren't as many drivers, and so the wait time may be longer.

Thanks everyone for all the great info. We just go back from PR. The resort is exactly as described and we got 5th floor (something higher would have been nice 🙂).
Door stoppers worked great, thanks @claraj.
Construction: the end units (with wrap around balcony) were being renovated. There was a little noise but even being close by at the pool or playing ping pong, it was not bad. You barely noticed them unless they did some loud drilling which only lasted a few seconds. The construction of the hotel or resort on the right has not started yet.
The bigger gas grills were still out but they had smaller ones.
It rained every day, but unlike my Texas rain, you only needed to wait a few minutes and it will stop. Only one rain episode was heavy but even with that, it was still manageable. Besides that, weather was nice: not too hot, not too cold.
I had a rental car my entire stay. No idea how ride share worked.
